Recentering Part 4: Flight Simulator

"Recentering" is an ambient video series that recomposes video games by focusing on the world instead of the player. In this episode, we use Microsoft's Flight Simulator to glide through the Owens River Valley in California, site of the notoriously extractive practices that depleted the region's water in order to supply a rapidly growing Los Angeles. During the flight, I unexpectedly encounter a massive wind farm while making my way down to LA — is this the future of mega-infrastructure development for us all?
